The American Songbook Series explores the lives and loves of songwriters and lyricists like George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen and dozens more. Great singers, like Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Fats Waller, Frank Sinatra and Lena Horne, also take center stage.
 
The 2007-2008 American Songbook Series focuses on the songwriting of Cole Porter, the stylistic singing of Peggy Lee and a trip into the naughty back pages of the songbook.
 
All shows feature Wilborn on piano and vocals, accompanied by his Blue Roses band, and special guest vocalists.
